At Koze Head Spa & More, we offer a range of facial treatments to address various skin concerns and promote healthy, radiant skin. This policy outlines our procedures, expectations, and important information regarding both regular and advanced facial services.
Consultation & Consent:
A consultation is required for all new facial clients. During the consultation, we will discuss your skin concerns, assess your skin type, and recommend the appropriate facial treatment.
For advanced facial treatments, a more detailed consultation may be necessary to determine suitability and address any potential risks.
A signed consent form is required before any facial treatment, particularly for advanced procedures. This form will outline the risks, benefits, and aftercare instructions.
Please disclose any allergies, medical conditions, medications, or recent skin treatments during the consultation.
Regular Facial Services:
Description: Regular facials are designed to cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate the skin, promoting overall skin health and relaxation.
Examples: Classic Facial, Hydrating Facial, Deep Cleansing Facial.
Expectations: These facials typically involve cleansing, exfoliation, extractions (if needed), massage, and a mask.
Aftercare: Gentle skincare products and sun protection are recommended.
Advanced Facial Services:
Description: Advanced facials utilize specialized techniques and technologies to address specific skin concerns, such as aging, acne, hyperpigmentation, and scarring.
Examples: Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion, Microneedling, LED Therapy.
Expectations: These facials may involve more intense exfoliation, deeper penetration of active ingredients, and specialized equipment.
Contraindications: Certain medical conditions, medications, or recent skin treatments may contraindicate advanced facials.
Aftercare: Specific aftercare instructions will be provided, which may include avoiding sun exposure, harsh products, and strenuous activity for a specified period.
Preparation:
General Pre-Treatment: Clients receiving advanced facials should discontinue the use of retinoids (like tretinoin, retinol, and prescription retinoids) for at least 3-7 days prior to the treatment, or as directed by your esthetician. These products can increase skin sensitivity and the risk of irritation.
Specific Pre-Treatment:
Chemical Peels: Your esthetician may recommend a pre-peel skincare regimen. Avoid exfoliating products for a few days before.
Microdermabrasion: Avoid abrasive scrubs or exfoliating cleansers for a few days before. Avoid heavy makeup the day of.
Microneedling: Avoid blood-thinning medications or supplements (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or fish oil) for a few days before, if approved by your doctor. Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior.
Additional Preparation: Clients should also minimize sun exposure for at least two weeks before the treatment, avoid waxing/threading/depilatory creams one week before, and refrain from other facial treatments for two weeks before.
Please inform your esthetician of all medications, medical conditions, and allergies.
Ensure skin is well hydrated.
Aftercare: Specific aftercare instructions will be provided, which may include avoiding sun exposure, harsh products, and strenuous activity for a specified period.
General Facial Policies:
Hygiene: We maintain strict hygiene practices and use sanitized tools and equipment.
Product Information: We use high-quality, professional skincare products. If you have any allergies or sensitivities, please inform your esthetician.
Discomfort: Some discomfort or mild redness may be experienced during or after certain facial treatments, particularly advanced ones.
Results: Results vary based on skin type and individual response. Multiple treatments may be recommended for optimal results.
Contraindications:
Clients with contagious skin conditions, open wounds, or active infections should avoid facial treatments.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult with their doctor before receiving any facial treatments, especially advanced ones.
Cancellations & Rescheduling:
Please provide at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee.
No-show appointments will be charged 50% of the service.
Payment:
A non-refundable deposit may be required for advanced facial treatments.
The remaining balance for your service is due at the time of your appointment.
Liability:
While we take every precaution to ensure your safety and satisfaction, we are not liable for any allergic reactions, skin irritations, or other complications that may arise.
